SALI National Abstract Art Exhibition XX

• Entry Deadline (Postmark/Email): July 5, 2025

• Notifications Posted Online: By July 31, 2025 (at southsideartleague.org)

• Delivery of Accepted Artwork: By 3:00 PM, September 6, 2025

• Opening Reception: Friday, October 3, 2025 | 6–8 PM at Gallery 42, Indianapolis

• Exhibition Dates: September 26 – October 18, 2025

• Pick Up Artwork: After October 22, 2025 (Wed–Sat, 11 AM–3 PM)

Eligibility:

• Open to U.S. residents, 18 years or older.

• Work must be original, completed within the last three years.

• No work created under instruction, copies, computer art, photography, reproductions, or sculpture.

• Two-dimensional media only (oil, acrylic, watercolor, mixed media, pastel, drawing).

• Work must not exceed 48 inches in any direction including frame, and must be under 25 pounds.

• Use Plexiglas for work 30”x30” or larger or for any work in a metal frame.

• All work must be professionally framed and wired for hanging (no sawtooth hangers, no wet canvases).

 Number of Entries:

• Up to three works per artist.

 Entry Fee:

• $45 for Southside Art League Members

• $55 for Non-Members
  (Fee covers up to 3 entries and is non-refundable.)

How to Apply:

1. Mail:

   • Completed and signed entry form

   • Entry fee (check payable to Southside Art League)

   • Mail to:

2. Email:

   • Digital images of your artwork to [email protected]

   • Images must:

     • Be JPEG format, max 4MB

     • Show artwork without mats or frames

     • Filename format: Firstname_Lastname_A.jpg, Firstname_Lastname_B.jpg, etc.

   • You will receive a confirmation email within 48 hours. If not, contact Duane King at 317-508-3435.

Awards:

• At least $2,000 in cash awards.

• Juror: Bob Cross, artist and former Master Printer at Tyler Graphics Ltd. (worked with Frank Stella, David Hockney, and others).

• Awards determined from actual work, not digital submissions.

Sales:

• All entries must be for sale.

• Gallery 42 retains a 40% commission on all sales.

Additional Notes:

• Accepted work must be delivered or shipped by the deadline.

• Shipped work must include prepaid return shipping labels.

• Artists are responsible for shipping and insurance.

• Failure to deliver accepted work may result in a two-year ban from SALI exhibitions.

• Permission to reproduce your work for publicity is considered granted upon entry.
